Successful Adoptions

Rae Anne a.k.a Little Rei

Little Rei came to us in the summer of 2020 along side her mother, Jane. Jane had experienced severe neglect by her original home and had absolutely no handling which resulted in the herd being sezied by the Alberta SPCA. Jane foaled in the care of the SPCA in July of 2020. Rei was initially adopted out in February 2021 but due to circumstances beyond her control she was surrendered back to us. We are happy to say, though, that she has now found her FOREVER family and is happily settled in with them and the herd with Emily Frost at Kiro’s Way! We look forward to watching her journey as she grows and finds deeper connection with her new people.

Cache

Cache came into our care during the summer of 2020. We weren't 100% sure on his history but we had no doubt in our mind he was intuitively gifted beyond any horse we had ever met. And so he was transferred into the care of Dayna and her therapeutic herd at Divine Grace to become a facilitator in equine therapy. It became very clear to her after a few months, however, that Cache desperately wanted and deserved a family of his own. Though loved by many, it was his time to receive the connection and love only "his" people could give him. In the Fall of 2021 he was officially rehomed to his forever people at TriUnity Equine, where not only will he receive the love he deserves but he will be granted the space to continue sharing his gift of connection with their amazing clientele.

Faith

Faith is a coming 5 year old welsh cross pony mare who was surrendered to us in March 2022 as a neglect case. She stands 11hh and is one of the sweetest additions we’ve dealt with so far. She is halter broke, gentle to handle, and very curious and sassy. She is amazing to hold for the farrier, loves treats and brushes and is currently being started under saddle.

She underwent surgery on March 7, 2023 to repair a 3” hernia on her left side. Though she does still have a visible lump, the vet believes she will have no issues in the future being a fun riding pony capable of doing several disciplines and fun activities. She has been fully cleared from our vet and has been officially adopted by a young girl within the English riding community. Take a look at her adoption update HERE.

We look forward to watching their progress together

Caspian

Caspian is a Paso Fino who we believe to be approximately 16 years old. He has had a long life of shuffling from one home to another until he found a place with his previous owner 7 years ago. Unfortunately it was not a perfect match and so she came to us recently hoping we could support him in healing his past trauma with the intention of finding his forever person.

He is currently settling into his foster home and is open for sponsorship as well as potential adopters.

Piglet

Little Piglet is approximately 6 years old and was surrendered to the Alberta SPCA in March 2021 along with 3 of his friends. They were neglected, malnourished and one was left 100% blind. Piglet was suffering with severely neglected feet which were curled all the way up and towards his fetlocks. He has since received four trims as well as some halter and groundwork training, though he is a long way from having healthy and normal feet. Though he was quite timid and un-handled when he first came to us, he slowly came out of his shell and showed up his curious and tough personality. We are pleased to announce that as of October 2021, Piglet has found his forever!

Phoenix

Phoenix is a 4 year old Morgan cross who was surrendered to the SPCA in February 2022. He was quite emaciated, unhealthy and still intact when he came into our care. He has since been gelded and is up to date on deworming and vaccinations.

Over the last 9 months he has received training completely at liberty by his foster mom, Rachelle Reichert at Stride High Stables and is currently being ridden under saddle brideless.

He has recently been adopted by the amazing Niki Flundra and her wonderful family down in Pincher Creek!

Frankie

Franke is a heeler cross that came in from a Reservation Rescue up North. She is the friendliest and silliest little girl. At approximately a year old, miss Frankie is one of the happiest dogs we’ve worked with. She is high energy, spunky, sweet as pie for the vet and absolutely in LOVE with people. She is up to date on her vaccinations and deworming and is scheduled shortly for her spay.

Poppy

Poppy is a 2 year old filly that was seized by the Alberta SPCA in March 2020. She was suffering from severe neglect, infested with worms, and was struggling with a club foot as a result of an un-doctored abscess. She has since received treatment, proper nutritional support as well as ground work training and we are pleased to say that she has officially been adopted. Congratulations to the Rietveld family on their newest addition! We look forward to watching them grow together and build an ever lasting bond.

Suri

Suri is a 4 month old Saddlebred filly with a sweet personality sprinkled in with a little bit of sass. She is curious, full of energy and loves causing a wee bit of trouble around the farm. She has happily found her forever home and we look forward to watching her grow and progress into a beautiful little mare.

Moonshine

Moonshine came in from our contacts at the SPCA in March 2022. She was recently rehomed to a group of amazing people at Still Meadows Ranch with a bright future ahead of her.

Grace

Chilli (formerly known as Grace) is a corgi cross that came in from the same Reservation Rescue as Frankie and she is sweet as pea, we cannot express that enough. She is gentle and affection and full of spunk and play. She handles the vet visits beautifully and is up to date on her vaccinations and deworming. She is scheduled for her spay shortly. She was recently adopted by a loving family and is currently enjoying her life with all of her new animal siblings.

Cache’s People!

“We run an equine therapeutic program where we partner with horses to focus on mental health and wellness called TriUnity Equine. This past year we were ready to add another horse to our herd and contacted the Parsons Animal Rescue Foundation to see if there were any options available to us. Dayna selected a horse, Cache, for us that in her experience had amazing ability showing up in a genuine way when working with people. She felt he had a gift for our programs and encouraged us to come out and meet him. We came and fell in love instantly, as his sweet heart and goofy personality were exactly what we were looking for. It took us a few months to be ready to bring him home but Dayna and her team were patient and helpful throughout the whole process. She will definitely be our first call when we are ready for our herd to grow again and would highly recommend PARF to anyone looking to support a horse in need”
