Frequently Asked Questions

While many rescues focus on responding to crisis. We do our best to strongly focus on preventing it.
While we absolutely support animals in need, our deeper mission is education, responsible ownership, and therapeutic programming. We believe that when people truly understand animals—their needs, their behavior, their emotional and physical realities—we dramatically reduce neglect, abandonment, and suffering before it ever begins.
In other words: we don’t just rescue animals from situations.
We work to change the systems, beliefs, and knowledge gaps that create those situations in the first place. -
You don’t need to live nearby to be part of this work.
Our mission is rooted in education, awareness, and cultural change—meaning impact can happen anywhere. There are many ways to be involved from a distance:
• Support our educational initiatives
Share our resources, workshops, and content within your own community. Education is contagious, and every conversation sparked creates ripple effects we may never see—but deeply trust.• Participate in virtual programs and events
Many of our educational and fundraising initiatives are designed to be accessible regardless of location. Distance doesn’t limit learning or contribution.• Become a donor or monthly supporter
Consistent support allows us to plan sustainably, expand our educational programming, and focus on long-term solutions—not just emergency response.• Use your voice
Advocacy, sharing our message, and helping shift how people think about animals and responsibility is one of the most powerful forms of involvement.• Lend your skills
From writing and design to fundraising, outreach, and strategy—remote volunteers play a vital role in strengthening our work behind the scenes. Why does remote support matter so much?
Because culture doesn’t change locally—it changes collectively.
Every informed person becomes a steward.
Every shared idea plants a seed.
Every act of support helps reduce the need for rescue down the road. You don’t have to be here to make a difference.
You just have to care—and that already connects you to the work. -
Our educational programming is shared openly and accessibly through our online platforms, making it available to anyone, anywhere.
Our primary education hub is our YouTube channel, where we share long-form, in-depth content including:
Animal care and behavior education
Responsible ownership guidance
Rehabilitation and therapeutic insights
Conversations around prevention, welfare, and human–animal connection
Training videos
This is where we go deeper—offering context, nuance, and learning you can return to again and again.
We also share short-form educational content and updates across our social media channels, where we highlight key concepts, practical tips, and ongoing conversations that support and extend our long-form teachings.
Together, these platforms form a living library of education—designed to meet people where they are and grow with them over time.

There isn’t a single, fixed adoption fee—because no two horses are the same.
Each horse in our care arrives with their own history, needs, and level of training. Adoption fees are determined on an individual basis and reflect factors such as:
Veterinary and rehabilitation needs
Training level and ongoing support required
Age, temperament, and long-term care considerations
This approach allows us to place each horse thoughtfully and responsibly, ensuring both the horse and adopter are set up for long-term success.
Rather than focusing on a price point, we focus on fit—matching the right horse with the right person, environment, and expectations.

Why do these kinds of fundraisers matter to us?
Because they do more than raise money.
They build community.
They invite education.
They normalize responsible ownership and thoughtful care. When people gather with intention—even over a pint or a paintbrush—change happens quietly and collectively.
If you’re considering a fundraiser, we’re happy to help you shape it, share it, and ensure it aligns with our values and mission.

Because no single organization can solve systemic issues alone—and we’re not meant to.
Animal welfare challenges don’t exist in isolation. They are shaped by education gaps, economic pressures, cultural beliefs, and access to resources. When rescues work together rather than in silos, we shift from crisis management to collective care.
Community-based collaboration allows rescues to:
Share knowledge, experience, and resources
Reduce duplication of effort and burnout
Strengthen education and prevention initiatives
Create more consistent, humane standards of care
Collaboration over competition
We don’t believe in competing for animals, funding, or recognition. That mindset fragments the work and limits impact. Collaboration expands capacity and creates resilience—not just for organizations, but for the animals and communities we serve.
When rescues support one another, the focus naturally moves away from “who saved who” and toward “how do we prevent this from happening again?”
Why this matters long-term
Community-based efforts create continuity.
Animals move through systems. People seek help across regions. Education spreads beyond organizational boundaries. When rescues are connected, informed, and aligned in values, outcomes improve—for everyone involved.
We see ourselves as part of a wider ecosystem, not the center of it.
The deeper belief behind it
At its core, this belief is simple:
Care multiplies when it’s shared. When we work together, we’re not just responding to need—we’re reshaping the culture that creates it. And that’s where lasting change lives.
Ways to Volunteer
-
Horse Care
We’re always looking for groomers, riders and time for general horse care. If you’d like to use your time directly with the rescues, this is a beautiful opportunity to get to know the horses.
-
Tend to the Land
Having horses on the land means there are fences to take care of, barns to fix and organization of feed required. If you need to move some energy, we will almost always have a project for you to work on!
-
Host a Fundraiser
We are in desperate need of a tractor, trailer, and truck, and always looking for fresh hay. If you are interesting in helping us calling in resources, we’d love your support!
Host your own event at the farm!
We’ve held everything from Halloween photoshoots, outdoor yoga sessions, Mary Magdalene Retreats, to Full Moon fire ceremonies. In exchange for a donation to the charity, you can access our open acres, fire pit and untouched forest paths.
