We have BIG DREAMS for the future
Where do we see ourselves in 5 years?

Expansion Project
We have been blessed to live and operate on our current land for many years. This place has gifted us countless moments of growth, healing, and connection. Yet, as our rescue continues to expand, so does our need for more space. Our vision is to create a sanctuary on at least 160 acres—a landscape where horses can roam, graze, and heal in the most natural way possible as they journey through their rehabilitation programs. We imagine wide-open pastures, safe and reliable fencing, winding trails through the trees, and a creek that nourishes both land and spirit.
This new property will also allow us to grow our Wolf and Wildlife Division, building expansive, safe enclosures that honor each animal’s need for freedom and natural living. It will be a place not only for the animals, but also for people—a setting where visitors, students, and community groups can come to experience these incredible beings up close, learning about their lives and their vital role in our ecosystem.
Our expansion project will also include a warm, indoor barn and arena, ensuring we can continue our rehabilitation and therapeutic programs year-round. Alberta’s weather can be unforgiving, and this space will provide comfort and shelter both for our horses—especially those needing extra care in extreme conditions—and for the people who come to partner with them on their journey of healing.

Truck & Horse Trailer
When we first began our journey with the rescue, we were fortunate to have access to a small horse trailer that remained on our property year-round. When it was sold a few years ago, however, we found ourselves without one of the most essential tools for our work. Since then, we’ve relied on the generosity of our community and, at times, costly rentals to transport our horses. While we are deeply grateful for the support we’ve received, this reliance leaves us vulnerable—dependent on others’ schedules and the funds available in our account. In emergencies, when every moment matters, this limitation can put both horses and people under added strain.
Owning our own reliable truck and a large stock trailer would be transformative. It would give us the freedom to transport horses whenever needed, regardless of their level of trailering experience. Many of the horses who come into our care have never been trailered before, which means we need the proper size, space, and setup to safely free-load and bring them to sanctuary.
Having a trailer permanently on-site would also allow us to incorporate regular trailer training into our rehabilitation programs, ensuring the horses become confident and safe travelers. Beyond our own needs, it would also position us to be a resource for our surrounding community—ready and able to assist when animals need safe, reliable transport.

Indoor Shelter
We don’t need anything extravagant—but an indoor working space with safe footing and secure walls would completely transform our rehabilitation program. Having a covered arena would allow us to continue our training plans year-round, sheltered from Alberta’s harsh and unpredictable weather. It would be life-changing, not only for our horses, but also for the people we serve. This space would enable us to continue our therapeutic programs with the Little Warriors organization on our own property, eliminating the need for costly facility rentals during the winter months.
An indoor arena would also provide a safe environment for our high-maintenance horses during injury recovery and rehabilitation. It would give us the ability to desensitize and train horses in a variety of settings and obstacles, helping them grow in confidence and adaptability. The opportunities a space like this would create—for both healing and learning—are truly limitless.
